Is that Pete at the mic with Paul on drums? ... and although it doesn't look like him, is that George on the left? And what guitar is that with playing along with Paul? Doesn't look like a Rick neck.
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
I would guess George's Futurama.

+1, George's Futurama.brammy wrote:And what guitar is that with playing along with Paul? Doesn't look like a Rick neck.
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Yes, its the Futurama.
The thing that threw me was the time context. By the time they were in those leathers and Paul had his Hofner, I thought George was using his Gretsch Duo-Jet exclusively... obviously thats no the case. This pix must show one of the last times that George used the Futurama. And who is the Mystery Man playing a Hofner Violin Bass right handed? Doesn't look like George to me.

I think it is
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Looks like George, to me.
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Too much weight on the face of this person to be George at this early stage, I suspect.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
I think the added weight is just an artifact of the bad photo.
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
You may be right. It is hard to imagine who else it would be.

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
That was my question, if it isn't George, who the heck is it?
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
To me, it looks like a young Mike McCartney.
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
It very possibly is Mike "McGear", but i don't recall him ever saying he was ever on stage with the fabs!
