Re: Pinky?
IS it actually for sale? I thought the caption said "not for sale". Have things changed? It's a Fakenbacker anyway.

Re: Pinky?
A lot of those guitars have been on that page forever, listed as sold. I don't know why they're still up there. Pinky used to say NFS, but obviously someone's changed their mind!

Re: Pinky?
I always thought it was a joke. There was something mentioned about it not needing a case just throw it in the trunk.
Anyway, yeah it is one of the really cheesy Asian knockoffs you see for sale. Bullet shaped TRC and spaghetti tail piece.

Yeah, to the best of my knowledge, that is a ten year old joke.

Isn't that the one that kicks off their "Hall of shame?"

Repaint it power pop style and Pete Townsend El Kabong it at the end of a set!

Re: Pinky?
Thanks, Paul, for El Kabong
I haven't seen that since I was a kid. Do you suppose that came before or after Pete's innovation, time-wise?

Before, based on my reading of the production date in Roman Numerals in the credits-1959.kiramdear wrote:Thanks, Paul, for El KabongI haven't seen that since I was a kid. Do you suppose that came before or after Pete's innovation, time-wise?
It was always one of my favorites as well. I'm surprised that repeated viewings failed to implant a subconscious suggestion for me to smash guitars on stage once I learned to play.
I especially like the boingy string sound when El Kabong's guitar knocks someone over the head.
