Guitar Show This Weekend in Valley Forge, PA

Post by stringsncords »

The Great American Guitar Show will be taking place at the Valley Forge Convention Center this Saturday and Sunday - July 12th and 13th. POTR will have a booth there with some nice Ric inventory.

Lots of Rics to be had at this show. I was almost assaulted by Olivia's as soon as I walked at the show, "are you selling that Ric?' They were near the entrance and kept an eye on everyone who came in. They had all the guitars you see in the auctions there including the "Sweet" guitar, a 660 BB, several basses 70's and 80's the 60's collection and the 381BBR. I saw a 64 Mg 1997 that was $9800. There was also an all white 350 at $3500. There were about 4 different Combos. So much that I cannot remember them all. If someone else was there maybe they could elaborate further. Chris was there from POTR. I met him for the first time and he had a nice inventory there. Those AFG 360's are beautifull with the full width inlays and small headstock. That was what I came to buy. I was walking past the third booth from from Chris and the guy yelled "Are you selling that Ric?" I said "I just bought it,geeeez!" A interesting and fun day, well worth the trip down.
I missed you again John!

Dave Pascoe and I were there for a good while..... Yes there were some very nice Rickenbackers there, two that I liked in particular were a '72 4000 (neck-thru) and a '62 625. Olivias had quite a display of stuff, but everywhere you looked the vintage gear was priced very high....it didn't matter what kind or make of instrument it was, it was high.

I loved seeing all of it though....always do.
