Warranty cards?

Post by Jasoncsh35 »

Hi,

Out of interest, and sue to mereading about people filling in their warranty cards, should I have received on in my case?

All I have in there is the Ric, polishing cloth, keys and a couple of reading articles about Ric's and how to string it etc... Should I have had a warrant card in there too to fill in?

Thanks,
Jason.

I'm in the UK and got it from Nevadamusic.co.uk. It was all boxed brand new when I got it. They opened the shipping box in front of me so I could check the guitar before I bought it.

You should ask the dealer to contact Ric about it.

I just contacted them an it seems the warranties don't get shipped out with UK guitars, only the US ones (in the US).

What? I thought Ric honored warranties on their guitars in the foreign market if the guitar was sold by an official Ric dealer within the confines of Ric's dealership agreements. Maybe this isn't an official Ric dealer?

I'm not sure if they are or not tobe honest. I get most of my stuff from them as the service/choice is excellent. Perhaps I can make contact with someone via this forum to find out if I should have one, or request one to be posted to me?

Ive never had a warranty card with any of my ricks including my newy from march 08 my dealer told me that my warranty lies with him.Although i would not hold my breath for that! 2 out of 3 rics were bought from my local and ordered from Rosetti. My local said any problems just bring them back and we will sort it out

I should have looked on the Ric site first.

Where It's Valid
The warranty card is valid only in the United States and Canada: it is not valid in any other country. Authorized RIC distributors in other countries provide warranty administration appropriate to the laws of their country.

They may not be "authorized to sell" internationally.

Is this thread officially an ex-thread?

Is nevadamusic.co.uk officially a Rick dealer?

Stay tuned as we winkle it out.

I can confirm that instruments legitimately bought in the UK (that is via Rosetti) don't come with a warranty card.
We are covered by the 'Sale of goods' act.
