Thanks jch (we share the same initials by the way). My aim is to have a nice collection one day, different sounds/tunes and so on so there's a good chance..... :wink:

I have also found that some smaller practice amps lack enough mid boost to give a really good jingle-jangle. However, my old Crate GX40C+ with two 8" big-magnet speakers can nail the sound!

Oh, be sure to read the manual, as the 'mysterious fifth knob' could be affecting your sound ... :)

Hey thanks doctorwho....Iof course I don't mind.

I do need to read the manual really...I had a scan through it but thought it but was in too much hurry to start struming out some chords. I'm now looking into new amp options also :wink:
