No name Ricky 4001 copy

Only get a sound when pickup switch in mid or upper position. Also, sometimes get a audible hum till I physically press one of the volume knobs! Any ideas what's wrong?

Check the volume pot and the switch and their wire connections. Since messing with the volume pot causes a change, I would start my search there.

Sounds to me like a bad pot or cold solder joint.
