The last 'New' Ric model?

Post by fireglo67 »

Which guitar was the last completely newly designed model?

I'm talking about completely new, not a vintage remake or a different configuration of a current guitar.

Do you think Ric will ever develop a brand new guitar again?

It's kind of exciting to think about. I'd vote for an electro-acoustic.

I'm guessing the 660/12 or the 650 series?

I think you'd have to go back to the 430 guitar and the 3000/3001 bass. They were designs/body shapes not previously used by Rickenbacker.

Guitars like the 650 and 660 are redesigned variants of the original 400 and 600 series guitars.

I'm guessing it was probably the 230/250/260 and/or 2030/2050 series.

Nah... they are decendants of the 430 and 3001, respectively.

That would be the "output". "Input" is on your amplifier. YMMV, I guess...

I always thought those models had an input and an output.

Scottys not grey, he's pasty white, and can't sing nearly as well. I found his model to be very fussy and hard to keep in tune. Oh, and it squeals at any volume! I did get 5 grand for it on Ebay though.
