My dad showed me this Linda Ronstadt video and I can't figure out what Ric her guitar player (Danny Kortchmer) has. It's bugging me!!! (My dad also pointed out Peter Asher in the corner.) It appears to be a Harrison/OS style 12 string, but with an R instead of a trapeze. The fireglo also seems more red than normal. The video is around 1980, so weren't all bound 360's out of production at this time? None of the OS's from the 60's had R's, did they?

Re: What guitar is this?
Hard to tell but I think it's got toasters, but non-fullwidth inlays. This makes it similar to a B-series 360 re-issue ('79-82, though the promotional photo I have shows soundhole binding) or simply a 1970s 360OS with pickups changed to toasters.
Also, I don't believe any 360OS actually had trapeze tailpieces, I think they all had Rs or Ac'cents. By the time 360s went to round horns, and therefore when double bound 360s became known as OS, WB or WBBS, trapezes were long gone.

Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights do make a left.

It's a 360-12WB. GIveaways are the "R" tail piece, bound sound hole, 24-fret neck and "floating" inlays. Sure sounds good...

You are correct, OS's did have R's. Rickbeat says the trapeze was replaced with an R in 64 or 65. For some reason, I thought all of the OS's were like the ones Harrison and Gerry Marsden had.
360/12WB with toasters would make sense. When were those first made? I thought it was more recent, but I must be wrong here, too.

Re: What guitar is this?
Well, 1980 seems early to me, so I reviewed the clip again. I think the tuners are Klusons, and judging by the color of the firglo this may be the even rarer 360-12BWB, which would put it in the 1981-82 timeframe. I don't think WB's were available earlier than that, but I'll defer to other forumites on this...
