Guarding My Model 350

Post by admin »

Looking through Richard's Smith's Rickenbacker book, I noticed an interesting pickguard arrangement with a different colour top and bottom tiers. So, I tried this on my 350. The photos are below. An interesting look and this should guard against this long cold winter.

I like the way the toggle switch looks.

The reflection of your curtains (at least I think it's curtains) makes it look like quilted maple. Very cool guitar!

As has been pointed out to me, a black top would look cool as well. I just happened to have a white upper tier around. Where is Don when you need him?

Interesting wood-grain there, Peter... or is that flowery, lacey stuff just a reflection from your curtains? ;-)

..."I just flew back from Hawaii, and Boy, are my arms tired!", but seriously, Peter, you need a black top guard?Get a hold of me.A personal value judgement to be sure, but if ya gotta go 2 tone, black and gold looks better than white and gold...

Well, Peter, the way you drape your puns throughout this forum is most amusing. ;-)

That's a spectacular look Peter. It's very '50's whitwall tyres' style - the Burns knobs really set it off. Retro-chic!

Lindsay: Is that look a "sign" of the times?

Perhaps, but I won't "yield" to the temptation of actually installing it.

Thanks Lindsay. I hope that my comments won't become a barrier in our relationship.

Actually, guys, I think a little "constructive criticism" is probably necessary in this situation!
