Sweet bass Bruce,

I've never seen, held or played a 12 stinrg bass.

By the way, what is that GORGEOUS scenery in the back ground?

Thank you, Tony! You must get your hands on one some day. They're so flexible in what kind of sounds are available, especially if you split the signal off to a guitar amp to allow the octave strings to take on some guitar sound and blend that in with the bass amp. It sounds great as is in a bass amp, but using a guitar amp as well just allows some kind of indescribably sparkle or crunch to come through.

Those mountains would be a small range on the north side of Las Vegas. Right on the outer fringe of civilization here. We may lack trees, grass, clouds, and rain, but at least the horizon isn't flat. You should see those at sunset or sunrise. And they're nothing compared to the view I had on that stage facing to the west. Mt. Charleston in front of me at almost 12,000 feet, sun eventually going down behind it on that gig, and still snow capped. Miserable miserable gig. :D

Steve, cool bass, and I almost bought one years ago --- but, isn't that a lot of strings to tune?

Besides, if you get a good one, it's already been tuned at the factory.

I just recieved my Waterstone red sparkle Tp-12. It's like a whole orchestra (a big fat one at that).
I can't get over the size of the thing (I'll have to walk around it instead)
I imagine its what a 4004 would sound like with 12 strings...
