Jazz bass V and flat wound strings

Could you put flats on a Jazz V bass, or are the bridge slots too narrow?

TIs. I thought the 36" scale strings since they go through the body.

TI JFs will sound great on it, I had a set on the AV '62 Jazz Bass I used to have.
