Re: Name that tune
Wait, didn't someone recently post a video? Do we have any clue what the song is? The chorus part sounds an awful lot like REM, but I know it's not them.
Re: Name that tune
It's someone from the 60's Greg. Mike was having a flashback and none of us can figure it out.

Re: Name that tune
Ok, last clue, they got in trouble withPM Harold Wilson for a publicity stunt they pulled on their next single, which they never ended up getting a dime from due to him suing them. Also, the main guitarist/songwriter of the band played a Fender 12 most of the time. Video of this song is on youtube. I really don't know what else to say without really giving it away.
Good luck, really easy considering the bulk of the questions I've seen on this section. Especially you fans of 60s Mod style music and such.
This was actually the first take I did before messing around with the lighting. The white backgroung really shines through, making the newer style headstock really stand out.

It has to be The Move - "Fire Brigade"

Re: Name that tune
It has to be! Did you ever see them play with the Who? They used to smash up TV sets and cars and stuff on stage, and had a failed tour with Hendrix, and sang some backups on a few of his tunes. I told Scotty I do "I can't explain" so he could get it next time

Lately it has been Strongbow. Mostly because it has been so freaking hot here. Nothing like a nice cold cider on a hot day, imo.

Well I'm out in the rural hills of northern England where the sun never shines, so I've been on the vintage Chablis all day.
The results will be here for all to see soon.
Why do I feel I'm going to regret doing this? (Scotty)

Do you think Paul Weller had a problem ith older women, this number and private hell seem a little unflattering to me, as well as not making a secific reference.

Knowing what I know about ALL the members of The Jam, they never had any problem with any woman, regardless of their age!whojamfan wrote:Thank you, It was lovely!![]()

Butterfly Collector was actually written about a famous teenage groupie in the late 70's who was Soo Lucas, or Soo Catwoman as she liked to be called. Although heavily connected to the punk movement and the Sex Pistols in particular, she refused to feature in the Sex Pistols Rock and Roll swindle movie, so she was played in the film by an actress called Judy Croll.
The woman in Private Hell was just an imaginary character dreamt up by Weller. Though there is probably one in every street, in every town, in every country.........
