Melissa: Agreed. Thanks for paving the way toward a new journey. It is nice to see someone with some clear boundaries. It is important to get at the route of the matter.

You know, I bet that whoever put that pickguard on that bass never would have done it if he knew just how bad these jokes were gonna be...

Let me alley your concerns, Peter, there's no reason to curb your commentary.

But wait there's more! The previous owner of that white 4001 provided me with three sets of pick guards and TRCs: the original black, the lively set you've already seen, and the set that's on the bass, which is clearly patterned after, well, shall we say a naturally occurring substance.

Lindsay: It seems that your latest pickguard may be easy to reproduce.

I have recently gone with an upper black guard on my 350. Don has matched the shape of the upper black tier with the gold bottom tier very well. Here are a couple of photos.

Black on top of gold... kind of like the black letters on the gold truss rod cover, eh?

Precisely Sir Andrew. The tuners are probably next.

I was going to say that white looks better but it matches alot more with the black letters once it was pointed out.
Very cool!

Super sweet! Also accentuates the black in the toasters! I love it!
