I won't say it, I WON'T SAY what that thing LOOKS LIKE.........

I think a good portion the entertainment value of the confluence might be a fat man running away from his wife with a credit card in his hands.

I've got GAS & RAS sooooooo bad! :(

Tony has brought it to my attention this is the weekend of the Super Bowl, and it's in ****** Tampa. Well, son of a *****!!! **** me in the *** sideways with a rusty *****. Just my ******* luck. You've got to be ******* ******** me. (my exact words)

Will this affect anyone who's planned to attend? Hopefully not, but I'll understand if so (I guess) :) It's actually favorable for me. Last time the Super Bowl was here this town got ******* stupid ridiculous. I'll be glad not to be around!!! But this may affect prices of flights, hotels, etc., so if you plan to come, better look now at rates, etc. Let me or the Tone Man know if we can help. Thanks, JD

Dog...

Sounds like a good weekend to get out of town IMO...Not a lover of O town by any stretch of the imagination, but being in TPA superbowl weekend is going to be a 'mare...

Off to the mouse house we go!

I'm currently working on that now.

One of the problems is trying to figure out how big of a conference room we need, I have no idea what kind of head count to expect.
Also, as mentioned, it's SUPER BOWL WEEKEND, so we are going to HAVE TO BOOK EARLY, so a room count is going to be essential.

MOST of the hotels close to the guitar show (within 10 minutes) only have a SMALL conference room of about 500 SF.
The rooms SEEM to be all about the same price, about $80.00-100.00 per night for the group rate.
Never being to a confluence, I'm GUESSING 1000 Square Feet is a good size? IF that size is good, to get a conference room of 1000 SF+/-, the hotel prices
jump to the $150.00 per night range and availability is going FAST.

I have it narrowed down to three hotels and I'm awaiting confirmation calls from each. We need a MINIMUM of 10 rooms to qualify for the discount.

PLEASE, ANYONE CONSIDERING COMING LET Jdog or myself KNOW ASAP. This way, we'll know how MANY ROOMS TO BLOCK and qualify for a decent room rate.
There are PLENTY of places to stay, but if you want to be close to the guitar show, we only have about 6 to choose from. The HOjO's I'm told is kind of seedy, so make it 5.

Lastly, I plan on taking a ride to Orlando to get an eyeball on the hotel to make sure it's what they say it is.

So, step right up folks. I realize that with MARF lll in November, some folks are going to have to make a choice.

PLEASE feel free to PM us if you have any questions we can help with.

I wouldn't waste your time trying to get a group rate. 10 rooms isn't not enough to matter to them. (Richard back me up?) The bundlers (Travelocity, Expedia, etc.) or even their own website will have a rate equal or better anyway.
