Graham told me to wait by my front gate and he would pick me up on the way to the airport. I've been waiting since last Friday and he hasn't come yet.rickenbrother wrote:You coming, Peter?!? I hope so!leftyguitars wrote:Is anybody going to pick me up?

Looks like my case of guitar stands will be here by Friday. If so, there will be plenty to go around.doctorwho wrote:Correction: there will be spare stands. Well, as long as things go the way they should go ... and if I don't bring all of my Ricks ...rickenbrother wrote:There might be some spare stands ...

"LOS ANGELES - The strongest earthquake to strike a populated area of Southern California since the 1994 Northridge quake rocked the region from Los Angeles to San Diego on Tuesday but caused only limited damage and a few injuries.
Strongly felt but considered moderate, the magnitude-5.4 jolt struck at 11:42 a.m. and centered 29 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles near the San Bernardino County city of Chino Hills. It was felt as far east as Las Vegas.
Dozens of aftershocks followed, the largest a magnitude-3.8."
Only a 5.4? (Yawn)

I'll be bringing a 2 x 15 Transonic cab and my Markbass head, a model 98, and a Robin 2 x 12 combo for guitar.kennyhowes wrote:OK listen: Who's bring what to this thing in the way of AMPLIFIERS?
Re: So Cal 2008
I have mentioned this in some other threads but this one is ripe for this! In a previous posting in one of the So Cal '08 threads (perhaps this one?) I predicted that there would be an earthquake in California to honor Aitch's arrival! I SO hate being right!
Glad to hear everyone is okay. I lived through a few 5.5ish EQs to know what they are like; my first big one was the Whittier EQ October 1st, '87. I even felt the 6.9 San Francisco 'quake quite strongly while check in at Curry Village in Yosemite October '89.

I'm bringing a Markbass head, a 2x12 Portabass cab, a 60 watt Fender bass amp, and a Blues Jr., if I finish the mod!!
Re: So Cal 2008
If I show up I will bring this for my bass, but, can someone loan me an amp to use with it?

Re: So Cal 2008
I'll bring my AC30, my AC30 CC2X, my 40th anniv BF `65 Twini Reverb RI. How's that? I have a couple of other Fenders, but I don't think everything will fit in the car. In any case, those three amps are of the type that a lot of folks ask about quite often on the forum, so I thought it would be a great opportunity for interested folks to try out those amps.kennyhowes wrote:OK listen: Who's bring what to this thing in the way of AMPLIFIERS?
I also have:
A Custom half power Fender Twin Rev that I can also put EL84s with Yellow Jackets in. I brought this amp last year. Darren played through it on "Sink or Swim".
A 1963 Brown Face Twin, which I don't like the sound of at all
A `65 BF Super Reverb RI.
Are three amps enough, or do I need to stuff something else in the poor Focus, along with five Ricks, and my Vox teardrop-oh, and my pedal board!
