Is this the real deal?

Looks real to me, and for $65, I wasn't about to hesitate...

Nope, looks like an Ibanez, notice the black dots near the pots? Dead give away.

Damn, really? *******! That's what I get for the trigger finger being a little too itchy...

Hm... What a terrific fake.

Not to mention further dead giveaways such as the pickup height adjust screws, the split, knurled pot shafts, the selector switch fastening nut...
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Yeah, go ahead and rub it in Sergio... I do deserve it. Image Hey, it could have been more than 65 bucks!

Besides, maybe somebody here with a fake can use it...

I have seen a Univox stereo bass Ric copy that also had the black dots on the pick guard. As I recall it looked like the above item.

Hey, I'm just trying to help fellow Rick players/owners avoid being ripped off by unknowing/unscrupulous sellers.
Yes, a few 4001 copies had those dot position markers on the pickguard.

Univox, Ibanez, usually have the dots. Sergio, the protector of the Ric realm!
