Beautiful, Mark!

I've just noticed that she has white-black-white body binding which makes her a unique copy.

Image

By the way, the neck looks to be of the narrower type. What's the neck's widths at the nut and the last fret?

Paul, the nut is 1 3/4" wide, the last fret is 2 1/4" wide

Heartbreakingly beautiful.... If RIC ever offered Blueburst as an option I would put money down on a guitar in that color immediately.

Very nice!

I think when it comes to copies, the Greco 4001 is paying homage to the Rickenbacker 4001 rather than skimping on the quality....and a great colour too.

Very nice looking bass. Rhodes music has original Ric thumbrests if you're looking for one.

Greco did make some great copies. I also have one of their Thunderbirds, and it's every bit as good as the real thing. I'm a bit of a Greco/Ibanez whore, as I also have a lawsuit Jazz bass and a lawsuit Les Paul black beauty. Oh, and a '68 hollow body bass.

I've been following the various discussions about the greco Tbirds, sounds like a bargain even with the shipping. How does the Ric sound by the way?

Thanks for the measurements, Mark.
That actually makes your neck a little wider than those of the current 4003 basses.

Have you tried putting her into your P-Bass cases? How's the fit?

Heartbreakingly beautiful....
Well said Melissa. I definitely would buy a real RIC in this finish.

Paul, it fits perfectly in my rectangular Gator Jazz/P case, but not my SKB P bass case that has a moulded interior.

I am curious.... Does this bass sound like a real Ric?
