bftp57/last time 5

Post by royclough »

bftp57

This song was a number 1 for The Honeycombs here in UK and made top 5 in US. This version however is totally different. The act in question was very successful in 60's both in UK and US and is extremely well known on both sides of Atlantic

Last Time 5

As I said I'll give answers to 1 to 5 next week so you can see how you did, remember back to 2 guesses on this.

This act had a massive number 1 in UK with their first hit , but three hits later and this was last time they appeared in UK charts. There was no commercial success in USA but the act in question lived the last 35 years of their life in Canada.

Fair to say the commercial success they had was not really representative of their true style.

Roy: Great selections this week. My guesses are in.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Sorry, no idea on either. :(

Not a tremendous response on BFTP57 but most did identify that it was Petula Clark.
