Itchy trigger finger

Post by ken_james »

This was just posted on ebay, the seller sent the serial number, turns out to be a Nov '77 4001. Somebody decided to pull the trigger before checking it out.

Looks like someone sprayed the back, I'd be ****** if I paid that kind of money for a 77 4001 in condition. But then again, if you don't ask...

I saw this early, but after a quick look at the stripe and the neck P/U thought no way...Thought I,d e-mail to ask the serial number and after finishing that went back and someone had bought it...Who knows, the way things have been going, maybe he would have got more if he had not had a BIN!!...

$1000 is not too bad for that bass ... I would say $750 would be more realistic ...

No it's not wrong for a 77. I still think it's a mapleglo that's been painted, it would be a whole lot easier to paint the body than to strip only the neck section on the back. Although in the picture the jetglo does look correct, has the correct gloss to it.

I have an ampeg b100r. Nice little amp.
The speaker is front mounted so just pop the grill off. It's held on by velco in each corner.
a couple of Shadows a Blackstar and an Annie.

it is relisted with a more accurate description and a reasonable opening bid ...

Chris,
It's not feedback is it? I don't have a b100r by the way, I have two B-15T's which are similiar I think but are portaflex models.
