Yep. The one whose mom survived the concentration camps, versus the guy who collects nazi memorabilia. Mildly amusing.

Yes, collecting nazi memorabilia is a crime.....thanks for the reminder (again). It was a light hearted poll with nothing to do about Lemmy's collecting habits or Geddy's family tree.

......gotta go now, "Hogan's Heroes" is on.....

Oh, I didn't mean to offend anyone, I apologize if I have offended. It's just that the two of them in the same sentence... oh well.

I have a lot of appreciation to Lemmy's playing and, needless to say, his choice of musical instruments; I just sometimes wish he'd kept some of his opinions to himself. But then again, I don't keep mine, so...

Hoooooooomer!

I recently saw the episode where Werner Klemperer was on the Simpsons. Good stuff.

FWIW, lemmy is about the most non-nazi/facist guy on the planet. he's about as libertarian as one could ever be.

No apologies necessary. I have yet to be offended by anything posted on a forum.

Geddy seems to be a really nice guy on and off the stage ...

Lemmy seems to be a MF on and off the stage

Oh, you're just not trying hard enough, Brian. I'm offended by the fact you've never been offended. :P

He's quite the gentlemen, even when he's drunk. I've met him a few times now and he's always a good guy. I've not once met anyone else who has either met him briefly, befriended him or toured with him that had a cross word to say about the guy.

I'm with Sean. I've met him twice and had a pretty long chat with him one of those times. He was very, very nice, very amiable, really cool. He seems to have hardened up a bit these days but he's probably had to as he's about 10,000 times more famous now. And I agree that he is about as anti-fascist/racist as anyone I've ever met; he once got beaten up by some racists in England for trying to stop them hassling a black guy. He may be fascinated by nazi memorabilia, but it certainly doesn't make him one. I used to prefer to make models of German tanks rather than Allied ones. Why? Because they looked cooler, no other reason. I still think they had the coolest uniforms. However I absolutely detest everything that the nazis stood for. I think it's perfectly possible to separate the 2 issues, although maybe not everyone can for obvious reasons. Obviously I can understand Ilan being somewhat uncomfortable with his choice of interest, but plenty of people are fascinated by such things as serial killers without actually wanting to be one. Personally neither is really up my street; I'll stick to Harry Potter, Marvel & DC Comics and LOTR!

Anyway, I'd sooner talk bassists than politics (of any sort) so back to your usual programming....
