Who inspired YOU to get into Rics?

Well- originally I wanted a Ricky bass like Lemmy's, being very into Hawkwind and wanting to play bass... but I got into normal guitar and The Byrds, REM, The Church and loads of dodgy old psychedelia and early prog were big influences.
Having said that, I have only recently got a 360/12, my electric 12-string desires having to be satisfied by a (admittedly lovely 1967 vintage) Fender XII and a more modern DeArmond Electric 12.

Plasticland also have some super Ricky 12-string tunes. Nobody seems to mention themon this forum...
