Black Jack Bass

Post by jwr2 »

A sort of Silver and Black Union Jack on my 2030 4-2-5 ...

It also sports a new 3 band active circuit ...

I don't convert 3001 basses but I think Dane did a 3000 or 3001. I only convert 1986 or later Rickenbacker basses.

The cool thing about that 2030 is it was so reliced before I got it that it makes a good bass to experiment on.

I did a 4-2-5 conversion on a '76 3000 that I also recut the body to look like a 620 and the headstock to look like a C64, then refinned it in fireglo. I sold it on Ebay a couple years ago and it went to China.

There they did their utter best to make a batch of 1000 perfect exact copies of it only to find out a little later that this was not an original Rickenbacker design. ;-)

I was a big Raiers fan in the 70s and 80s ... Silver and Black ... these days they just don't win enough to root for them ...
