1957 400 Series

Post by brettbuffington »

I have got a 1957 400 Series and I'm looking for help on the value. It is black with the gold pick gaurd and has the intermediate single coil pick-up. My grandfather got it while he was in the navy during the late 50s and says that this is the prototype for the actual production line of tulip bodies. If anyone can help me with this I would very much appreciate it!!!

Hi, Brett. I read your post in the other section too; It would be great to see the guitar for sure if you have some pics of it to post. We would also like to hear more of the account your Dad has given concerning the provenance of the guitar. If it really is a prototype Tulip Combo, that would be neat.
