WOW...that 381 is breathtaking up close...nicely yellowed too!
Re: Cool/Weird Wood Grain
There was once a very nice 4004Ci. Must be somewhere in a forumites house?
Re: Cool/Weird Wood Grain
I'd buy that Ci in an instant were someone willing to sell it!

Wow, Lars, that one is amazing!
I wonder, is the front as pretty as the back?

Re: Cool/Weird Wood Grain
BTW, I just put new strings on the 381 I posted above--it was long overdue for a string change--and WOW, what a difference! Now it not only looks amazing, it sounds amazing too!
I haven't played it for a long time, because it just didn't sound good, but I figured since I had it out for photos I'd change the strings, and I am so glad I did!

Wow, that's beautiful, Kevin! I much prefer birdseye to flame maple anyday, and that's a stunning example!
Re: Cool/Weird Wood Grain
Just so classic a look, Kevin. So rich looking. Beautiful.

That one's like flame and birdseye at the same time...
What was the first year for 381v69s?

As usual a stunning geetar Kevin.

Speaking of Kevin. here's a shot of my 1997SPC. If I had his photographic skills, I might've been able to show the iridescent quality of the flamed top...
