Tough one to sing, he did pretty good though. Everything else sounds great.

Would have been nice to have been there for that.
Funny how he mussed up the words to his own part.

I know it's probably not, but is that Yoko in the audience at about 2:16-2:19 in the clip?
Gotta be emotional for him doing those tunes....

Shead a tear when they went into GPAC. Beautiful. Wish I could get high quality audio of that.
Re: Paul plays A Day In The Life in concert
I don't know how many others have seen Paul in concert in the past few years, but when I was lucky enough to see him, his set was probably 80-85% Beatles material with the majority of the rest being Wings and then a few solo songs. I think that he is having a tremendous amount of fun bringing out a lot of these songs. I'd go see him again anytime just to hear what else he plays live.

I'm sure "A Day in the Life" will be included in the set list of the upcoming tour. Remember in 1990 he added "Strawberry Fields Forever" with the "Give Peace a Chance" ending.

Re: Paul plays A Day In The Life in concert
I was there in the front row at Anfield, Liverpool on June 1st this year when he played A Day in the life. My girlfriend had earlier asked me if he was going to play it as it's one of her favourites and I'd replied 'absolutely no chance'! I've never been more pleased to be proved wrong!
Re: Paul plays A Day In The Life in concert
It's moments like this when I love the guy. Although it saddens me to hear that shaky croak on the John lines. He seems to pull his voice back out for the GPAC refrains. Still, old Paul is better than no Paul. Old Paul is better than most anything. How did Hippy Hippy Shake sound? Anyone?

STRAINED. HIS VOICE GETS BETTER AFTER A FEW SONGS AND HE WARMS UP.
Re: Paul plays A Day In The Life in concert
Anybody seen shots of the 1st gig he did in Nottm..room size/gig...post fabs?
Re: Paul plays A Day In The Life in concert
"STRAINED"
Does he NOT warm up before getting on stage? Is it just too risky for him to "use up" that much voice before a show.
I caught the Youtube vid of Hippy Hippy Shake....whoa.....ROUGH....immediately listened to the Star Club version afterward to restore my sanity
