They look like thy have been flattened, in addition to their uglyness.

That whole site has fake fenders, gibsons etc.

Yeah, these ripoff artists inspired me to finally write a couple of guides for Ebay users on spotting fakes and not buying Rickenbacker counterfeits. Hopefully they've been published by now.

Tim Doyle, Tony Revell is not related to the model company. The Revell model company name was made up, probably to resemble Revlon, as Revell first made plastic cosmetic compact cases in the 1940s. The company is not named after a person or family, as far as I can tell. (I am the retired senior editor for FineScale Modeler magazine.)

I have only one Rick; a FG 4003 from 2003, and then some other basses and guitars. I would not touch a copy of a Rick!

hi there.....at one time in my life i didnt own a RICKENBACKER bass....and had to make do with lookalike...then children came along, and the bass pushed under the bed....years later a friend needed a rick-a-like for a JAM tribute band...lent it to them for 2 years..then needed my bass as had formed charity band....bought bass off me,i get jazz bass copy.....2 years later have the oppertunity..FRAILERS in Runcorn have what i wanted for years....4001 hanging onthe wall......went home on the bus.guy asks
what ive got...i say RICKENBACKER....over his head man....now we are 4 years on...and you know what, this guitar will be with me forever...you know why....cos she dont answer back, takes all the abuse shes given, and still looks better than i ever will.....and she sounds great....DO YOU FEEL THE SAME ABOUT YOUR RICKENBACKER?.......Oh by the way i swapped the jazz bass for a PSP for my son....happy days tim

Very cool tree, Tim! Very suggestive, eh? 8)

You have a good eye, I am not sure which one, but yes, you have a good photographic eye. :D

That picture looks photoshopped to me. Interesting though, and just the tree is, uh, unique.

Would it be redundant to say that that tree gives me a woodie?
