WOW, Jeff! 13 basses???

All RIC's , I assume? You DO have it bad! I have 4 and my wife thinks THAT is extreme!! Oh I could EASILY have 13 basses, but I keep trading/selling/manuevering to get the ones I REALLY want....so 4 or 5 will probably always be my "limit"........yeah, right!!!

You see, you've got your collectable pieces, then you got your utility basses that constantly have to be refined, improved and replaced to make room for more.....And then when you least expect it, one of those once in a lifetime pieces decides to fall out of the sky and land in your lap, so you have to buy it then .........,,,,,,,,,oh well, you get the idea.....Oh yea, then you got your amp rigs Image

Jeff, I think I MAY have 13 lenses (I will after I add a few more essentials like a Zuiko 20mm f3.5 and a 500mm f8 mirror lens), and I never paid more than $200 for any of them. All Olympus Zuiko, except for one Rollei. Bought good used OM-1 and OM-2 bodies for well under $150. Once used Nikon gear professionally, and owned Canon F-1 gear as well. Olympus is less costly on the used market and has more character. Nikon (Gibson), Canon (Fender), Olympus (Rickenbacker), Minolta (Gretsch) would be good comparisons.

13 basses? I don't think I'll ever go that far.

I'm kind of right up there with Jeff Rath. I have 13 basses and 1 guitar. I suffer from RAS: (Rickenbacker Aquisation Sydrome). It has manifested itself virulently in my system, especially while waiting for my 4004Cii5. RAS is highly contageous around here !!!!

We're all going to end up as 85 year old security guards sitting in some empty wharehouse on a Saturday night, plucking our beloved RIC's through an Ampeg BA-110 and thinking.....'two more checks and that v63 is mine'.
Is everybody ready?

nope ... I have a Dillion musicman clone, 2 pj basses, 2 jazz basses, schecter C-5, and an Ibanez ...

The Dillion and Ibanez both have really nice B strings but inferior electronics ... Schecter is nice ... and fender style basses are ok for what the are ...
