I prefer reading howto deal with/or fix them here.
What I was referring to was the way the "FLAWS" were constantly being harped upon, I was trying to convey a sarcastic comment.

No, this is not the case. After the '68, (which he played for over 20 years) Jeff bought at least 3 4003s5's, a horde of 4004's, a horde of 4003's, several 2000 and 3000 series basses, and did at least 10-15 conversions and numerous repairs for Forum members, often at no cost or just the cost of parts, including mine, sometimes just minutes before I had to play a gig.
Jeff has (until recently) been one of Rickenbacker's #1 supporters, been on this Forum for over 7 years, and waved the flag whenever he got the chance.

I think it was a combination of the value / cost of Ricks and him having so much money tied up in Ricks, vs him finding a new sound and getting more into making his own creations that led him down his current path.
I hope his current path is one that he finds rewarding.

it is just a shame that this path lead him to bash Ricks and many of us on the forum. :?

That won't be happening anymore..... I thought we were more tolerant here and it wasn't all that bad; I just skipped reading the constant reminders about 5 strings and going away from Ricks. I wish you well, Jeff R. where ever you land.

I remember Pete Townshend bashing Ricks, but not necessarily Jeff R.; although Jeff did drill holes in them, which certainly invites controversy.

From London? You had better get an early morning start for that one Bryce.
