Digging a 381

Post by jdogric12 »

So here's that 381 I promised to post about. Snagged it from a local GC, a 2001 in mint condition. It's my first 381 and the German carve is much more comfortable than I expected.

Mmm, daddy likes. "Look'it the flaime on 'at one. It's just perfect" (as Nigel Tufnel might say).

Howzabout some gold 'guards & TRC for it? Oven knobs too. Oh yeah.

Ooh, sweet snag there, Jason! What was the first thing you played on it? (If it's a Steppenwolf wong, I'll be shocked! :) )

Nope, no Steppenwolf wongs, sangs, wangs, or anything like that!!!! :) Sadly enough, while trying it out I think the first thing I did was just play every string on every fret. That's acid test #1.

I've played a few Steppewolf wangs in my day. At least they said they were in Steppenwolf...

Nice score, Jason. GC does turn out some deals every once in awhile.

Gorgeous!

Interesting feature: the horns are equally pointy on both of our 381s, but the bottom horn on your `01 is longer than on mine.

There's a line there somewhere, but I'm staying right away from it!

A very tasty acquisition there, JDog. Congrats.
