EVEN MORE ABBEY ROAD ERA PICS
Re: EVEN MORE ABBEY ROAD ERA PICS
"Little Willow" was written primarily for the CHILDREN (2 I believe) of Paulie's life long mate Ivan Vaughn, who died prematurely of Parkinson's disease. It was Ivan, we all remember, who introduced Paul to John at the fete and they remained friends through the long ride. Paul even let him use the Beatles recording of "Blackbird" in a documentary about Parkinsons. A rare gesture of legitimate and touching genorosity (both Little Willow and lending out Blackbird) from the notoriously paranoid (about anyone riding on his fame) and often emotionally bankrupt Macca...
It's a beautiful song and it has nothing to do with Mo.

Michael, thanks for clearing that up. Very interesting indeed. You don't often read about Paul's darker side.

It's doubtful that's Maureen in the picture. There is a bootleg recording from 1969 of an informal session that Paul, Mary, Linda, Heather and Donovan attended. It's possible this picture is from that session.

So who is that dude in the cowboy hat? It looks like Neil Young, but not like Neil Young in 1969. Why do I keep thinking it looks like Keith Richards??
Re: EVEN MORE ABBEY ROAD ERA PICS
Keith was still baby-face in '69. Could it be Donovan? He seems tall.
