John Derry (Pixlart) has a beautiful 370/12RM McGuinn Limited Edition for sale on the "Bay".
A picture of the headstock clearly shows 5 different laminates of wood. Can someone please identify the species of wood of each laminate? (Yes, 1-3-5 are one, 2-4 are another.)
For that era, it's likely that 3 is Shedua rather than Walnut but that's not absolute. They were used interchangably depending on availability.
The keys should be of interest. Those are Schaller's ST6K keys, their vastly improved version of the Klusons. It's too bad the die-cast covers couldn't have looked more like the original's sheet metal ones.
The ST6K's do not retrofit the Kluson reissues without some work around the bushings. However, our remaining stocks of the ST6K have been stock on the 660/12's for quite awhile although we're just about out and will continue on with the Gotoh-made Kluson-style keys in use on the 325C64.
