I went to that show!! I didn't know anything about Pick of the Ricks, but I remember him having a whole booth full of guitars. I think he had a C64 for $1800. I picked it up to play it a little because I wanted one when I first saw them announced, but didn't think I should spend that kind of money. If I only knew then what I know now...

I have to admit I'm a little sad to let her go. But I really needed the funds, and I know she's going to a good home where she will be played regularly and enjoyed. Besides, if I can get my financial house in better condition, I might get a new 4003 with the new FW inlays and walnut wings!!

If that was 2003, the only vintage style bass I remember PTR had was my bass, and a lefty V63 in fireglo. If I recall, the price was $1800. Could that have been the one you played?

The one I played was FG. Maybe it wasn't 03, but I could have sworn it was...I'm getting too old!!

Don't feel too bad. Now that I really think about it, it was the 2002 show that I bought that V63, not 2003. Oh well, sometimes I do good to remember what I did yesterday. Never mind what I did 6 years ago.

For anyone who might be interested, that teal OLP/MM Sting Ray is for sale too. I put a USA Bartolini MM pup, as well as a NTBT active preamp. It comes with a Carvin gig bag. If anyone knows someone who might be interested let me know. I my Ricks, a Brice Beatle Bass, and a Fender Jazz that I use regularly. So I just don't play this one much anymore. So it needs a good home. Thanks. :)
