Totally agree with Jeff. I personally think that a gold TRC and a gold guard would look real classy.

Speaking of gold plexi TRC's, what's the current company rule? Can you send a normal TRC to RIC (with exchange fee) and get a gold one in return? How about a raised letter type for a plexi white one?

I think RIC's policy on the TRC's is that the exchange with a fee is for the same type only.

i like the jetglo with the gold, very nice. and yes,i was thinking of the gold 'guard with the white plexi cover, not my first choice, but an affordable one. it's too bad the company doesn't offer an exchange/upgrade with $$$. seems like they would welcome the money, and it still keeps the extra trc's off the street.....or being stuck on fender headstocks  i could have paul refinish my v (purpleburst, anyone?) and have the gold applied.......but i really have always loved the MG.

Why thank you. I did it around 6 years ago before I knew about this forum. The idea had been lurking around in some closet of my mind for years before that. I always liked the gold plastic. Its sorta like Paul's bass in John's colors!

I think a nice honey gold MG V63 would also look cool with gold plastic.

But in my opinion, you should go with the gold TRC. They don't come around often, but I've seen a few on Ebay sell under 200 bucks. White plexi ones only go for a little less than that, so you could sell it to offset the cost if you want.
