Pictures Of Your 4080 Models

I'm sorry, I should clarify. What I'm looking for is an original horseshoe. It would probably be impossible to get from an old 4000 or 4001. The question is if I found an adjustable horseshoe from a steel guitar that measures 1.25" across, could I put it in a 4000 or 4001?

Yeah!
Hi, Paul. I remember that 4080 being on Ebay a few months ago, and I'm sure you do too - I e-mailed you a shot of it then.
Welcome aboard, Jeff. Yes, do post some pics of your Rickenbacker collection in here. And, your comments on the 4080, please.

A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

thanks for the warm welcome.
this is great that there is such a forum as this to discuss these great guitars.
as for the 4080, it Rocks! it is a 1978 model and it is in great condition (I did notice however that there is some small amount of corrosion in the bridges, and was wondering how to clean it with out damaging the bass, or the value. The body and fret and necks are immaculate. hte previous owner(s) did not use it very much as I can understand why. It is gorgeous. and it weighs half a TON I have to see my Chiropractor after rehearsals.... BUT I love it. hurt me. ;-P
as for my OTher basses, I have a 4003/5 JG (my first RIC), a 4003FL JG ( second RIC ordered by me to my wants), a 650C (first RIC 6 string), a 380 Laguna
(favorite 6 string I have ever played) and the 4080. I will try to post pictures all at once, but I may have to send multiple posts... I just don't know...but here is the Family.
