I'm thinking of swapping out the toasters in my late 90's 350 for hi gains or something with a bit more punch. I love the guitar but find the toaster sound limited. Any suggestions? I was thinking of leaving the neck pickup as is but I'm on the fence with that as well. Also, if anyone has any pickups for sale please let me know.
Thanks,
Chris in NY

Re: 350 Pickup Swap
A late nineties 350 should have the 12k Ω toasters. Hi-gains won't have any more output from them, as they are also about 12k Ω.

Re: 350 Pickup Swap
It wasn't too very long ago I swapped the High-Gains in my 1990 350 for toasters.....they sound so much better. I also added a bigsby...YES!!!!
Re: 350 Pickup Swap
I have a humbucker at the bridge on one of my 350v63s and it gives it a bit more 'grunt'. I'm going to add another in the middle position as well because the wiring has been modified to make the 5th knob the volume control for that pickup.
Could be interesting!

Thanks for the replies. Humbuckers are an interesting possibility....I'll have to think about that.
