Yeah, but it needs binding and inlays to look like the other one...

Very nice John!
Dig the mods too, cool combo- makes it stand out from all the other 1997's. Surprisingly the single PG kinda works nicely..?

I really like the look of the single pickguard John. I'd leave it as is!

I believe you have a proper sense of taste. Your guitar looks tasty like an AbbaZAbba!

Great call on the grommets, Dan! I started doing this and it looks great - only problem is that the holes on the guard don't line up exactly with the already-drilled holes, so I'm gonna have Tony cut me a new guard (gonna send him the stock white one).dpowell wrote:Very nice geetar there...I'd keep it single layer, personally - it looks pretty cool as-is. Maybe you could put some grommets underneath the screws, too.
Re: MCMXCVII
He's got a 1993/12 JG with a single guard:paologregorio wrote:PT style!collin wrote:Very nice John!![]()

Re: MCMXCVII
Ohhhh yeah.... There's just something really sleek and cool-looking about a 1997. They sound great, too. Real smooth....
Congrats, John--it's a beauty!

Cool! I like the idea of a 1997 with some '50s vibe.sloop_john_b wrote:Great call on the grommets, Dan! Nope, but one tail number I flew at Kadena is in an air park about 3 miles from work...seeing that for the first time was a weird feeling.wj350 wrote:...Johneek--very cool avitar--is that your RF-4?
