First post- Looking for odd part

Post by JohnRick »

Hello all, This is my first posting, so hope it's going to the right place.
I am trying to find a clear thumb rest and screws for a '69 Rick 4001.
I know these are hard to come across, but perhaps someone in the forum can steer me.
Thanks!

Welcome, John! :D Make sure you give Tony at Pickguardian the correct spacing for the mounting holes as the do vary.

Welcome John. I'll have to give another thumbs up for Pickguardian. While I have not gotten a thumb rest from them, I've gotten other pickguard stuff. Tony does nice work.

Wow all,
Thanks for your hospitality and great feedback on Picguardian.
Yea, the spacings are different then their website calls out for.
Only questions I'm asking myself is if I put one on, it will be in the way, so maybe I'll get and just store.
Then I fugure out how to attach the pic when I take it!?
Off to the FAQ.
Peace!

To Wints-
The Rickenbacker book I have by Richard R Smith (GREAT BOOK!) only goes up to '68 and it shows production of 83 FireGlo, 74 Natural, 31 Black and 11 OT (?), or 199 total bases. So even if they doubled production for '69 it would still only be a mere handful.
Mine I believe is a June baby.
