It's the first Yes tour that I will miss since 90125.
I'm sorry, but not having Jon on stage is too much for me. I really wish that they would have just waited until 2009 to go out on tour. It would have been the 40th anniversary of the first Yes album and I think that would have been a better choice for the band.
Have fun everybody, I'm sure Squire will be his usual awesome self and not hearing that Rickenbacker of his will hurt in a way, but I'm with Jon on this. He feels very let down by the others and I can see why. Now, maybe there's something else to all of this but we don't know. I just wanted to see them as the classic band, not a scotch taped, hurried up effort to get out on the road.
Being home, sick with food poisining dosen't help my mood on this either.

Well it appears somebody got to someone about calling this a YES tour. It's now called "Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Alan White of YES". At least that's what it say on the Live Nation site.

Hey, Tom, hope you're feeling better soon.

I have my tickets to Cleveland, also got one ticket to the Columbus show. Since my wife prefers country music, she can only do one show. I've got to see them twice this time, in case, for whatever reason, it's the last opportunity. YES does not come to Pittsburgh anymore (can't blame them for that) so it will always be a longer drive to the show.

For those of you that are not going, yep, we got it. It must have been a tough decision to make. Jon's absence will be felt, but I'd prefer to keep the focus about who will be in the band as opposed to who is not. Chris Squire once said that Yes are comprised of the first five guys who show up at rehearsal, and that has been a staple of their career. They continue on even if (insert your favorite musician's name here) doesn't show. Jon has almost always had his way, leaving for Drama, jumping back in for 90125, starting ABWH without Chris, reforming the 90125 lineup for Talk, etc... (Not that he was completely responsible for all of those decisions) Now he can't tour and the guys want to, so they should all sit and wait for him? I for one am glad that Steve and Chris can still work together and are willing to perform again.

Jon Anderson remains one of my favorite musicians of all time. I listened to Change We Must and Kitaro's Dream after he got sick and it made me feel better, because his words and voice are so uplifting. No one can take his place, but for this tour, I just have to accept that he can't be there, the same way I missed Steve at the Big Generator tour and Chris at ABWH. It didn't stop me from enjoying the shows.

I respect Jon Anderson as he's held a major role in YES's sound through out the decades, and its a shame that his illness has struck him down.

You cant hold back the musical genius that is alive and well within the rest of the band. They can call it whatever they want, but as long as Chris is a member I'll call it YES.

Scott, we had discussed set lists earlier when the summer tour was announced, the concensus reached was that we didn't want to know the setlist before hand. For those who just have to know, I'm sure one will be posted in the Tour section over at Yesfans.com, but please don't post it here, unless under a new thread with a "spoilers" warning. I want to be completely surprised at the shows.
