Cheapest place for guitar building parts

Post by bails »

What's the cheapest online store for small quantity guitar building parts such as fretwire, pre-cut fretboards, a pre-slotted nuts, dot markers and strap bolts?

I need stuff for my new 78 MusicaMan Stingray...

G'day, Mark.

I've had fantastic service from this outfit:

http://luthierssupplies.com.au/

I wouldn't say they're the cheapest going on their string prices but with the Aussie dollar the way it is at the moment buying locally could be the best way to go.

I've bought machine heads, strings, knobs and other bits and pieces from them and you can buy online.

Cheers,

H

Stew Mac has everything I could ever need, and about 1 billions items that no one would ever need, but I'm not sure they are the cheapest.

Guess it doesn't matter that much for less than $100 worth of stuff...

This site's good for dirt-cheap parts:

I've ordered a few Strat parts from there, and they've been mostly top-notch, except for some vintage tuners that turned out to be a bit cheapo.
