Lynda, at any given point in time, there's always more than one of us in the forum waiting for a new Rick.

I figured that out a while ago, and I'm a proud member of that list.

Well, it seems somebody here does have access to Mr. Hall's frontal lobe implant. With my friend waiting more than 28 months, I post casually about it here and 5 days later a whole whack of 370/6s have shipped out. Looks like his is on the way or just arrived at the dealers as I write. My buddy says to pass on his hearty thanks!

Any experience from Canucks out there about shipping across the border? How long might it typically take for a guitar to get from Dave's Guitars in Wisconsin to Toronto, Ontario? Might this type of package get held up at the border?

I'll try to get him to post photos for you when it gets here.

Bill - couriers will usually take 4-5 business days to ship from the states to Canada. Make sure that they include a NAFTA form so that you don't get dinged for duties. You'll still have to pay a brokerage fee to have it processed through customs (UPS is generally the most expensive), as well as GST and perhaps PST.

If it was sent UPS you can bet it was held at the border, as UPS holds everything. I imagine a guitar is a large invitation for duty/tax to be slapped on top. Personally, this is why I won't buy from the US and have it shipped here. I have been told that customs is very random; however, a big item like a guitar, I think is an open invitation.

They were sure going great guns on 360/12 strings last week or week before. The shipping list is the same as it was last Thursday, making it look like everything has ground to a halt on that line. I had my hopes up there for a while.

Ok Jim,

Is this shipping list available for viewing by the average Ric owner wannabee aka me?

Thanks,

Lynda

Yes, Lynda. You can go to the corporate site, and click on the Dealers tab. Then select the state you want, then the dealer. It will show you what has shipped to that dealer recently. Alternately, you can click on the Models tab, then select the model you want. There will be a link on that model's page that will show you what dealers have been shipped that model recently.

Thanks, I actually knew that, but had no idea it was actually up to date. Good to know.

According to John Hall, it's updated in 'real time'. I'm not sure how RIC defines real time, though.

I would say that at the close of the day the list would be flushed to the website. RIC ships all instruments that are boxed on that day - nothing in inventory.

Ah! I see Rhoads' Music has received (or soon will receive) at least one each of a model 620 FG, and a 325C58 MG. What a rollercoaster ride; first up, then down, now up again.

I just got a new Y cable today.

Hey Jim
Some polish tomorrow.....some picks on Friday.....a new strap on Saturday..... It won't be long now, and I'm gonna win our bet!
PS - I'm still waiting on a 360/6 FG, and about a gazillion have shipped out recently, but NOT to my dealer (AMS).
They've been getting 360/12's! Life ain't fair sometimes.

Blowing out 370s and 370/12s is the name of the game right now...
