The headstock wings glued on top of the maple wings and the lack of Kluson-style holes on the back of the headstock to me suggest it's definitely not a 4003 (modified in Europe?), but simply a straight up design theft built from scratch in Europe.

I thought it was a legitimate representation of Lemmys impersonation of a bass player .

It would look OK hanging over the edge of my boat from an anchor line.

This will be commissioned from a Chinese or Taiwanese factory, chances are there are a good few more than 2 knocking about. There have been a few pretty accurate 4004 copies popping up in the last couple of years, this looks to me to be a variation on them. Also I'm pretty sure that's a fake Badass II bridge - it's a poor pic but the metal on the rear plate looks about 1/2 the thickness of a real one.

I seem to recall that there was a picture posted on this forum 2 or 3 years ago of a 4004 that someone had carved like a LK. It still had 2 pickups though.

No, it seems to be (has been) a real BadAss II bridge on this faker, as so far I did not come across any BadAss II bridge fake. It probably is the unslotted bridge. It is really that thick!!!
