Ric's Delivery Method

Post by stubby »

This post comes out of some recent news from a friend of mine that's about to receive his 370. I know that the topic of shipping guitars has been talked about a lot on this forum. One forum member told me that it would probably take about 4-5 business days for a guitar to ship from a dealer to my friend. This got me to thinking though about Ric's delivery methods. How do guitars get from the factory to the dealer? Does Ric use commercial courier(s) and if so, which one(s)? Or, do they have their own proprietary delivery system? I'm not trying to track the ETA of my buddy's guitar as it is already at the dealer but I was just curious about the Ric to dealer step.

I'm pretty sure RIC uses FedEx ground to ship to dealers, at least in the USA, anyway.
RIC would have no control over what courier the dealer uses to ship guitars nor how long it would take to ship to your friend.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I believe Joey is correct, Bill...... I recall JH stating this some time ago when a UPS/FedEx discussion took place here.

We use FedEx Ground exclusively for dealer shipments. Foreign distributors receive their shipments by air freight using the freight forwarder of their choice.

I don't know what John Hall is talking about. Jeff is absoltely correct. Kenny delivers them all to the dealers, finds out who purchased the guitar and then hand delivers them to it's final destination.
