Wow,

Some beautiful instruments posted here, thanks everyone!

Joey, that Gibson Victory bass is a killer! OH MAN, I WANT ANOTHER FRETLESS!

I NEVER liked the FEEL of a Pbass, like the sound, but those necks are for gorilla handed players!

I'd like a nice 62 RI or 75 RI Jazz, and I'm GASSING for a NASHVILLE TELE. I don't even play guitar YET, but I really want to get one of those things!

Like Joey, I like my RIC's better than any other. I also love Alembic's as well as some other not so expensive, well playing basses.

I am loyal to the brand, but do enjoy playing other basses.

That is why I like my Fender California Precision Special, it has a Jazz Bass neck, along with a P/J setup currently with Seymour Duncan pickups.

Here is my latest acquisition to my retirement portfolio.

Some real nice instruments pictured. Comparing Ric to Fender/Gibson is like comparing apples to oranges. They are simply different, with one's view to whether they are better being merely subjective.

Anyway,....
1980 Stingray FL...

Huge sounding bass...Can't put it down...

1964 Jazz,

Sweeeet....Nothing more to be said...

There's also a 74 P-bass with a jazz p/up layout and a maple neck in a case somewhere too. That thing has the thick neck going on, and takes work to get around on, but has a great sound too....
