We know

Post by whojamfan »

This section of the forum is for non Rick instruments and other things. For those of you who are purists, or whatever, WE KNOW that everything else sucks in your opinion. It really turns the threads in to wastelands when forumites start a topic and then get bombarded by negative responses. I wish for people to feel comfortable discussing other things and not have to worry about feeling attacked.

If you actually owned or have real experience with whatever the thread is about, we'd love to hear it, good or bad. If you just think something is hideous or lame, why waste your time nuking it? I'm trying to create a productive section where people can constructively discuss things.

Thank you.

Never could bond with strats, the knobs and pickup switch always get in my way.

Lately my Rick has been a case queen and the Heritage H535 gets all the love. I'm also playing a 2004 Melody Maker quite a bit. 1 P90 and tons of attitude.

I do indeed love my Rick, why else would I be here? When it comes to electrics, she is my first choice. But the true musical love of my life is my Martin 000 and then my Washburn EA20B and EA2012W.

The EA20B is worn to the bone, probably needs a re fret, has divots in the fretboard and scratches and dings all over from the many years I have had her. She has been all over the country with me, from coast to coast multiple times, good times, bad times, cold times, poor times. She cost me $180 used when I was 18, and I wouldn't sell her for 10 times that at this point.

For anyone that has a chance to pick up a Washburn EA20 for short change, do it. They make a great player.

Scotty, I like your self-portrait avatar...gone digital, have we?

I like Strats, too, but I can talk trash without nuking. This is something that seems to be alien to our current climate of discourse.

Eden, if you want service on that TP12, just send it to me!

Conversely, I find the Stratocaster's control layout to be my favorite feature.

If I send it to you, it will come back glowing in the dark! (It's not a bad idea though)

I'm just trying to get waterstone to send me some strings for it (I think I've been waiting for a month or so) but they rarely answer emails, or my messages to them get lost or something. I love the product but they just don't seem to want to talk to me. :?
