Music Ground looking for an RM

Post by seyesbass »

Hi guys,

I just recieved an email from Music ground asking if I knew where they could find a 60s Rose Morris Rickenbacker bass!

Flattered I am sure, but as I pointed out to Justin (who I had contacted regarding Chris Squires 21 fretter some months ago) he might have rather a long wait.
He didnt go into any detail about price (theres a surprise) or whether its for a customer who wants a player or an investment or what.
My advice to him was forget it and go for a V63 or CS.

I just hope he never finds an RM!
It would be like a scene from Indiana Jones where the baddies get the jewel!

Pete.

Hello Mate, maybe it was also the fact that you had owned two of them in the past.It would be nice to know what he sells it for if he finds one.

You're right Pete. A V63 and/or a CS are identical to a RM, minus the tug bar and HS surround shape. If that's WHY they want a RM, that's crazy!

Cant we send the guy from Music ground all over the world for the next fifty years on a wild goose chase while we all track down the RMs?

Jeff: Does your V63 have a black nut? Then it'll really look like a RM RI!

It was a mass e-mailing; even I got one. Some might call it "spam".
