It will weigh three ton, but these sound great and were made (in the USA) to last. In the current market this could well fetch under $500.... not super-cheap, but great value.

That has been my consideration also Tony! Twice now I've almost pulled the trigger on a Tele from Kurt. There was some setup and fret work I did on my SX Jazz, so I haven't ordered the Tele yet as I'm not that up on guitar setup.

Erik, do you have one?

I'm just trying to decide on which one. One of them actually has HB's, so I'm not sure which one to get.

Any suggestions?

I have two. One is the standard tele in black, the other is white with a P-90 in the neck. Both sound and play great. The necks are nice and the fretwork is ok, at least my fingers don't get sliced moving up and down the neck like on the few Squier teles I've tried.

I'd say that the quality is even with a Mexican Fender. If you do get a dud, Rondo has great customer service and will do an exchange.

David, I echo Tony, post your impressions. That bass begs for a tort guard. Just be aware you will have to file a standard guard around the neck pocket and most all holes will not line up.

Erik, thanks for the additional on the SX Teles. Now I'm deciding on color... As for utilizing Rondo's customer service, I'm not sure I know enough about guitars to know if I got a clunker or not.

Sorry to hear that, John. I guess there's a lot of competition around here in the SF Bay Area; I see most instruments in pawnshops going for 1/4 to 1/3 of list price. I've bought many if not most of my instruments from pawnshops through the years, and used them as the only source of credit available to indigent musicians...
