Inspired by ...???

Post by doctorwho »

I figured that this belongs in The Others, although it is loosely Rickenbacker-related.

I was watching my Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume 3 DVDs and when I got to the episode "Spirit Journey Formation Anniversary", I got that "hey, that looks familiar" feeling when I saw this:

ATHF "banjo" close-up - used for instructional purposes only

The "banjo" looks a lot like a frying pan guitar, plus the headstock has a very Rickenbacker-ish look to it.

A six string banjo. They used to make a few of 'em back in the 1920s.

The body is too small in proportion to the neck, IMO, for it to be more like a Bantar or banjo than a frying pan guitar ... :D
