New 4003

Post by scottpro1969 »

I just pulled the trigger on a new 4003 Midnight Blue from Mike Parks with the vintage case. Can't wait to get it. I've seen many pictures of this color and it's just stunning. Anyone out there own a RIC in this color??? I'll post pics when she's here.

Hi Scott...I love the MB and the AzureGlo's...beautiful color. If you want to see my old one, its owned by another member of the forum here (much to my surprise / happiness!) and its in the post 82 AzureGlo, and I just got a new one that I am cleaning up and will have pictures of soon, its a 1976 4001 AG. Just waiting for new plastic!

My 4003 is a midnight blue. Great finish... when it's properly polished and shined up, it almost looks sorta 3D-ish, it's got this kind of subtle depth to it.

I have a 620 in MB with white plastic and chrome parts. It was a special order back when I got it and it only took 2 1/2 years to get. It's a great color.

Jared, your 4003s/8 is pretty sweet!

Ahh Midnight Blue, my favorite color. Here's a picture of my 2000 4004 Laredo and of my 2001 4003:

Here's a couple of headstock shots:

Sorry about the lame images, but I'm doing this from work. As you can see, the blue color on my Laredo is a little lighter (more silver undercoat) than the blue on my 4003. It's okay, I love them both!
