Still not got it yet. The road to my house has been closed the last couple of days due to severe snow up here.

The road is now open but the courier firm dont deliver on Saturdays!

Should be here Monday, weather permitting...........

All this waiting, now I know how JimK feels!

Sheesh! What a tease. Hmm, snow you say - now you'll have to wait another 5 days before you can open the case.

Snow? Already?

....And here I thought northern Minnesota was miserable! At least we don't have snow here yet.... We just keep getting it right through April while the rest of the world experiences spring.

I live high up in the Dales and we have our own micro climate here. We have identical weather to Rekjavic in Iceland!

I've seen us here with a foot of snow, and a mile down the road it is completely clear. I've just had the oil tank filled for the winter, we don't have a gas supply so it's (expensive!) oil central heating all the way.
Couriers (especially UPS) hate delivering to us, they usually get about half a mile from the house, see the snow/ice/rain/sleet/hailstones, chicken out and turn round, I've seen it happen as I was once driving home behind a UPS van who stopped and turned around.

It's no fun when you're expecting a special delivery. :(

And there's no way I'm waiting another 5 days to open the case!

I took a picture the other morning at about 6am when I got up, I'll post it here.

Wow, amazing...you got up a 6 :D

Looks like it's a place that makes it worth waiting for a Rickenbacker.

Wow, Rob, you've got a beautiful view, snow notwithstanding! Are you in Yorkshire?

Rob

I live my life in the city, where the only fields we see are in the sky.

Life from a window, I'm just taking in the view
Life from a window, observing everything around you
Staring at a grey sky, try to paint it blue - Teenage blue

Hope your new Ric gets to you soon (mine did, but there is no snow...mind you there are no street lamps either  )

I live in Upper Teesdale, if you look on a map I'm 7 miles outside of a town called Barnard Castle, which is west of Durham and near to the Lake District.

It's stunning countryside, but it's always windy and cold! (and couriers don't like it! )

Nobody likes going up there, delivery drivers are seen as 'new blood' for the local breeding stock (as is anybody with their own teeth) and are often never seen again!
