I typed the wrong model number i meant it is like the 650c body with the 620 neck (not 660) The 650c may have a more contoured body than the 610.

The 610 is not contoured. It just has rounded edges.

Yes, Brian ... now you can show this thread to the little lady! :)

I like the model 450, so naturally I like the 610, too. Mine is a Ruby:

I have a 1990 610 in FG that I've modded by adding toasters, Accent Vibrola and a custom "Rutlebacker" TRC. It was modeled after Ron Nasty's guitar used in The Rutles movie "All You Need is Cash"

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I didn't think to look at the register, so thanks Peter

Mine is an '87 too Gary.

It is interesting though as it seems that not many are out there in the whole scheme of things. It is rather nice to have something that is seen out a little less than other models. :D

I think I will play it at out next gig - if we ever get another one......... :(

I've been meaning to contribute to this thread for a while. I've now found the photo of the 1992 610 JG refin I once owned. I liked the gold guards and TRC combo with the Jetglo finish:-

I was fortunate enough to find a left handed 610/12 JG at POTR. The R tailpiece broke as they are prone to do so I replaced it with a trapeze. It looks better than an upside down R anyway. I really love the contoured body.

I want to love 610s, but I've been through a couple and something ain't right (for me). Maybe it's the small body? I don't know.

Count me in as a fan, but I haven't yet bonded with one. I welcome the opportunity.

'80s. I've been through three.

Two of them had been modified and had funky finishes, so it could be a neck thing.

Like I said, I'd love to try one again. I think they're dead sexy guitars.

I'd never really taken much notice of this model before, but now I've got a 425 I think I would like it. I love the JG.
